I study the effect of environmental pathogens on animal behavior and physiology. Specifically, I use a combination of fieldwork and lab work to examine how threespine stickleback fish detect and respond to the presence of neighbors infected with tapeworm parasites. I also plan to explore transgenerational effects of parental parasite infection on offspring physiology and behavior.
